Moody blues

The Moody Blues is a British rock band from Birmingham, England that has a fusion of unprecedented rock / pop music with orchestral classical music, the beginnings of progressive rock.

In 2013, the group has nearly 70 million albums sold worldwide, and holds fourteen platinum and gold records. His greatest success is Nights in White Satin, in 1967 (to which Frenchman Léo Ferré will pay a tribute two years later in the song C'est extra).

Despite several long interruptions, the group is still active in 2018, with three members of the 1960s band: Justin Hayward, John Lodge and Graeme Edge.

In 1962, Ray Thomas, John Lodge and Mike Pinder are members of the band El Riot and the Rebels. This group is disbanded when Pinder joins the army and lodges the university. Back in civilian life, Pinder forms a new band with Ray Thomas, the Krew Cats. They will go to Germany, a popular destination for young English bands of the time (including the Beatles), where they will gain experience. Growing out of their journey, but without a penny, they will be forced to return to the UK sooner than expected.
