Megaherz

Megaherz is a group of Neue Deutsche Härte and German industrial metal, originally from Munich. Formed in 1995, the group is best known for its single Gott sein, from their debut album Wer Bist Du ?.

Megaherz changes her musical direction several times since her formation. In their beginnings, they are oriented alternative metal, comparable to American groups of the 1990s, like Faith No More. Their most recent works are compared to those of groups like Oomph! and Rammstein. This orientation towards the industrial music is relatively contemporary of the arrival in the group of the keyboardist Noel Pix in 1997. The first realization really industrial metal of the group is the album Kopfschuss published in 1998. Their first albums are based on German tales for children, like Rapunzel on the song Kopfschuss.

Megaherz becomes a musical project of Alexx Wesselsky. The group remains untrained until 1993, with the arrival of Christian "X-ti" Bystron and Wenz Weninger. In 1995, they released their first album, Herzwerk. After the arrival of keyboardist Noel Pix in 1997, their musical style began to move towards industrial music. This example is shown in their third album, Kopfschuss, published in 1998. The single Freiflug is published in 1999 for the promotion of Kopfschuss.

In October 2002, singer Alexx Wesselsky announces his departure from the band because of his musical differences, but he will remain until the end of the tour. He officially left the group on January 1, 2003, then founded, with Noel Pix who also left Megaherz, the band Eisbrecher. In April of the same year, the remaining members announce that they have found a new singer, Mathias Elsholz (Twelve After Elf group). He was already known to fans of Megaherz for his participation on the track Falsche Götte from the album Himmerfahrt. In August 2003, the group announces that it is looking for another singer. In June 2004, a new album is in preparation. Shortly after, a first song is published. She then confirms the rumor that Megaherz has a new singer. It will prove that the song is Zeig mir dein Gesicht of the album 5 published on December 6, 2004 in Europe>, and reissued in the United States on February 21, 2006.
