Matt bianco

Matt Bianco is a British music group formed in 1983, founded by Kito Poncioni (bass), Mark Reilly (vocals) and Danny White (keyboards), to which was later added Basia Trzetrzelewska (song). The band's musical style is characterized by Sophisti-pop, Jazz-funk, and Blue-eyed soul.

Matt Bianco had a notable success with the album Whose Side Are You On (1984) including the titles Get Out Of Your Lazy Bed and More Than I Can Bear, where their music skilfully mixes jazz with Latin rhythms.

But the members separated soon after to try careers alone (hardly crowned the same success except for Basia Trzetrzelewska and Danny White who together form a group named Basia with a strong success in the United States). Only Mark Reilly continues the adventure Matt Bianco with Mark Fisher (former Wham group), whose second album, untitled, includes the single Yeh Yeh, which is a cover of a title written in 1963 by Rodgers Grant and Pat Patrick and which was, in 1965, carried to the top of the hit parade by Georgie Fame.

The original band meets again in 2004 for the album Matt's Mood then separates. Since then, under the name of Matt Bianco, Mark Reilly and Mark Fisher have released compilations between 2005 and 2008, (including the reissue of The Best of Matt Bianco of 1990), HiFi Bossanova in 2009 and Hideaway in 2012.
