Lynyrd skynyrd

Lynyrd Skynyrd was an American rock band from Jacksonville, Florida>.

He was one of the founders of southern rock in the 1970s, a rock style influenced by country music and blues from the southern United States. Formed originally in 1964 as My Backyard before becoming The Noble Five and later One Percent, it was not until 1970 that Lynyrd Skynyrd became the official and definitive name. The group is quickly recognized around the world for the quality of its stage performances and its two greatest hits, Sweet Home Alabama and Free Bird. Unfortunately, while Lynyrd Skynyrd was at the peak of his success in 1977, three of the group's members perished in a tragic plane crash, temporarily ending the group's career.

In 1987, the survivors of the crash of 1977 reform the group for a tour in tribute to the missing. Ed King returns and Johnny Van Zant replaces his brother to sing. The tour was a success (375,000 people attended the shows), which encouraged the group to continue the adventure. In 2006, the group knows the consecration by entering the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. To this day, and despite the fact that Gary Rossington is the only founding member, the band is still recording and touring. In January 2018, the group announces its farewell tour>.

In the summer of 1964, Ronnie Van Zant, Gary Rossington, Collins Allen, Bob Burns and Larry Junstrom
