Lazlo bane

Lazlo Bane is a United States rock band from Santa Monica, California. They are particularly known for the Superman song that serves as the credits for the series Scrubs and their collaboration with Colin Hay Men at Work.

The group's origins can be traced back to Chad Fischer's School of Fish in the late 1980s and 1990's as a drummer. After some disagreements with the producer, Fischer decides to go solo. Without using audio mixing or professional mastering, he is forced to improvise on the acoustic guitar and with a dictaphone to get a sound like playback.

Under the name of Lazlo Bane, the band was initially signed to the label Fish of Death Records>, then to a bigger label, Almo Sounds, in 1996, with Fischer who will recruit the bassist Chris Link, the guitarist Tim Bright (Telecaster), and a drummer nicknamed Chicken to form his group. In August 1996, they produced an EP, Short Style, composed of five tracks, including a cover of the song Overkill of Men at Work (1983). The song is recorded with Men at Work singer Colin Hay, who also appears in the clip, directed by Mark Miremont, who reached the list of the year set by MTV2 in 1997.

On January 28, 1997, Lazlo Bane released his debut album, 11 Transistor>, featuring original Fischer songs like Wax Down Wings and the Overkill cover. After this release, the band toured the United States, including a Buzz Bake Sale festival in November 1997.
